What is an MTT?

What does MTT stand for?

It’s a secret ; P

No, actually it’s an acronym I came up with way before the MTTs actually became a “thing“, so the meaning behind it is pretty silly and insignificant. I assure you you are not missing out on anything.


Can I join ClubMTT?

Yes! Membership is open for everyone :>


Can I have an MTT?

Sorry, but no. The MTTs are currently a restricted species. The only way to get one right now is through an adoption contest or raffle. Join the group to receive updates on when raffles and adoption contests happen! I also sometimes give out MTTs to friends or people who deserve them for being active and involved in the community. Why are the MTTs closed?

For quality control reasons, mostly. I want to try and give MTTs to people who will take care of them and not leave them gathering dust in the corners of their dA gallery for years. I also don’t want the MTT thing to become too massive, or grow too rapidly, which it would if it wasn't a restricted species. I want to retain at least some amount of control over my own species, and I want to be able to make sure all new MTTs that get made conform to the species rules and are not abused.


Why do MTTs have to be so brightly colored? Why do they have limitations on the shapes of their markings?

That’s just a species standard I decided on. I think it makes sense for there to be rules to the appearance of a species. Just like you aren't gonna see a turquoise bear in the woods, you aren't gonna see an MTT with brown or gray leopard spots.


I think they look bad and would look so much better with natural colors!

Well good for you! Now if you don’t like how things are, no one is forcing you to stick around. Go make your own non-sparkly dragon species!


Your species is very dumb and I am very angry at you!!!

The MTTs are not meant to be taken seriously! I don’t tout them as a believable or realistic species, nor do I strive towards it. I am just here to have fun, and let others share in my fun! So please don’t rain on our parade :>


So-and-so’s species/art/character looks like yours!

Please DO NOT contact them yourself or say anything at all!! Link me, and I will judge the situation myself. While I appreciate the sentiment, there have been too many instances where people have attacked others for copying me, when in reality there wasn't even a problem. Even when there is good reason to suspect someone is indeed copying the MTTs, it’s still best to leave it to me!


I no longer want my MTT – what do I do now?

There are several possible ways to go about this, depending on your situation –

1.If you designed your MTT yourself - It would be greatly appreciated if you gave the MTT back to me so that I could adopt it out to someone who really wants it. Even though this is in the rules, I realize that I cannot actually do anything to stop you from using the design for another character. I’d just prefer it if you didn’t, since MTTs have very specific design rules and you can often recognize a design meant for an MTT even if it’s on the body of some other critter.

2.If you won the design in an adoption contest - You will give the design back to me and I will give it to the runner-up for that adoptable in the adoption contest. Doing anything different than that will probably earn you the ire of the entire community.

3.If you paid for the design - If you are generous enough to do this, the whole MTT community would greatly appreciate it if you gave it to me so I could put it up for adoption. If not, you are free to take the design and use it on something other than an MTT.


Why won’t you let so-and-so have an MTT?

If I say someone can't have an MTT, you can trust me there are good reasons for that. I do not exclude people just for the hell of it, or for minor annoyances.


Do you take MTTs away from people? Are you going to take away mine? : (

I do reserve the right to do that when I deem it necessary. It quite probably won’t happen to you, though, because it takes severe transgressions to make me consider something like that, and so far it has happened only twice in the entire history of the MTT species. So don’t feel like you always have to be super courteous to me and can’t disagree with me on anything!  I don’t take MTTs away from people just for having differing viewpoints :>
